Welcome to the first day of Caterpillar Corner Preschool 2016-2017!  We had a great day! We read The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn and the friends brought home a special first day of preschool poem, with their handprints on it!

We learned some important rules of the classroom, and we will continue to kindly remind each other of these rules.  I am so excited about this new school year and the hope to see lots of growth and progress in each one of my preschool friends!

First Day of school 2016-2017 school year.....

We had a great day today!  It will be a few days for Mrs. Tygard to remember all her new friends names, so be patient with me!  We read a story called The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn.  We put our handprints on a special first day poem.  We learned some rules of the classroom and will continue to review those rules, so that we all can get along and treat one another kindly.

We played with playdoh, we played in the bean table and in the playroom.  We are going to have a great year at Caterpillar Corner Preschool and we will learn lots of wonderful things!
Thank you all...for sharing your sweet children with me!

Our last months at Caterpillar Corner Preschool

I have found it easier to post in my Caterpillar Corner FaceBook page, than on this blog. My apologies!  We had a great school year this past 2015-2016.  We learned about friendships, we went on a field trip again to the Fire Station.  We made homemade pizza for Halloween.  We made some awesome gingerbread houses at Christmas time and had a great Christmas program.  We learned about animals in the ocean, and the difference between ocean water and fresh water...will it sink or float? (Great science experiment!)

Spring time brought about my favorite activity....the life cycle of the butterfly!  What a treat it is to watch the transformation from caterpillar to butterfly.  We let our butterflies go at a nearby park, and enjoyed a great picnic as well!

It was sad for me to see some of my friends move on to kindergarten!  I have had some of these special friends for the past two years, but I know they are ready with the skills needed to succeed in kindergarten!

Happy Summer to all!  And here is to the new school year....2016-2017!  Two classes, I am excited!

Happy Halloween 2015!!

Homemade pumpkin spice playdoh! It's a miracle, no one ate it!
